Deichmann and Blue Inc set to open new stores

Addington Capital, on behalf of the new owners of the Harvey Centre in Harlow has announced 9,500 sqft of lettings to Blue Inc and Deichmann Shoes who will occupy two newly reconfigured units as part of the continued modernisation and upgrading of the Centre following its refurbishment last year.

A newcomer to Harlow, Deichmann Shoes is taking a 6,000sqft unit opposite Primark on a 10-year lease. Fashion retailer Blue Inc is taking a new 10-year lease of the adjoining 3,500sqft corner unit. Blue Inc has been trading in Harvey Shopping Centre for several years on a temporary lease and has taken the opportunity to make a long-term commitment to the town.

Alex Wagstaff, Partner at Addington Capital, commented: "We are delighted that these retailers have committed to new leases at the Harvey Shopping Centre. The arrival of Deichmann Shoes to the town, and Blue Inc's relocation to a larger unit demonstrates retailers' confidence in the Centre and builds on the investment by the owner and other retailers Primark, Tesco and Wilkinsons who invested in newly fitted out stores last year."

Work began on the two retail units last week, and will be handed over for shop fitting in autumn 2012.
