Gatehouse Arts presents The Endeavour Workshop Show!

Starting next Tuesday 20th September and running daily 11am-4pm until Saturday 1st October Gatehouse Arts presents its latest exhibition 'The Endeavour Workshop Show - Altered books and boxes'.

Jane Burnett, coordinator from Gatehouse Arts explains,  "The Endeavour Workshop is a place where artists aged 60-85yrs and beyond explore their abstract selves.

"All are previously successful showing artists who have embraced the opportunity to work in a more abstract and three dimensional way. The workshop artists have produced an amazing set of work in the field of 'Altered Books' and secret and sculpted boxes.

"The ethos of restructuring used objects, of breathing new life into otherwise recyclable 'rejected' materials has been the starting point of this workshop adventure. The one united wish of this artist client base has been to be taken seriously in retirement, to be viewed as serious artists who push their own personal creative boundaries.

As Endeavour workshop co-ordinator I am so impressed and proud to have worked with this group of artists and it is my wish that you will find the work they have produced as interesting as I do."
